LEAGUE REFEREES

REPRESENTATION ON COUNCIL A move for direct representation of the New Zealand League referees on the Council of the New Zealand Rugby Football League was urged in a letter received by the Auckland Rugby League’s management committee from the Auckland League Referees’ Association last evening. Mr. W. Mincliam, the referees’ delegatae on the A.R.L., said that what was desired was that the Auckland League’s delegates should move in that direction at the annual meeting of the INew Zealand League. At present, Mr. Mincham said, the New Zealand referees had no status whatever. It would be a good thing for the referees if they were represented. Mr. F.
