FIRST SOCIAL EVENING OF SEASON
DUNEDIN CLUB MEMBERS SUCCESSFUL GATHERING The first social evening held by the Dunedin Club this season proved a very successful gathering. Streamers and balloons added gaiety to the dance room and, in the vestibule, which was attractively arranged with palms, cards were played. The Kit Kat Band provided excellent music for dancing. Airs. Cornish, -who acted as hostess for the evening, \>as gowned in ivory georgette, embroidered with green and silver beads, and wore a roise pink shawl wrap. AMONG THOSE PRESENT Mrs. Bridger had on chartreuse green georgette. Mrs. J. Ray had on a gown of black and cherry figured ring velvet. Mrs. H. Faulkner wore a frock of black lace embroidered with pink roses. Mrs. Whitley’s gown was of Saracen red lace and georgette. Mrs. King’s gown was of black lace with relief of pointsettia red. Mrs. Wright wore an uneven length gown of black cire lace. Mrs. J. Thompson’s frock was of palest begonia lace with finger-tip length coatee. Mrs. Aitchison was in ravenswing blue lace over matching chiffon. Mrs. Robertson was in pastel tinted chiffon. Mrs. Dodd wore black Chantilly lace over pastel georgette. Mrs. Henderson was wearing black lace and chenille embossed georgette. Mrs. Gaudin’s gown was of black satin faille and Chantilly lace. Mrs. J. Gow was wearing a gown of absinthe green chiffon and lace. Mrs. Oliver had on gentian blue georgette with oriental wrap.' Mrs. Hamilton’s cream lace frock was worn over cream satin. Mrs. McGuire chose a frock of wine red taffeta faille. Airs. Johnson had on gold and amethyst lame and lace. Mrs. Long was gowned in phlox pink georgette embroidered with silver beads. Mrs. Hayward was wearing an apricot georgette frock with midnight blue shawl. Mrs. Miller was in blue and pink floral mnon. Mrs. Allan chose a frock of green chenille and lame. Miss Snow had on a gown of black georgette with red shoulder flower. Miss Hamilton was frocked in salmon pink satin and net. Miss Dorothy Eccles was wearing blue chiffon taffeta. Miss Campbell wore black lace over geoi'gette. Miss Leslie Eccles had on blush rose corded taffeta. Miss Finlay <• was in rose pink georgette. Miss Dickison chose saxe blue taffeta. Miss Aitchison was gowned in mist blue lace . Miss McDonnell wore a frock of chartreuse green lace. Miss Dixon had on a ciel blue georgetto frock.
