PRINCE STARTS HOME FROM AFRICA JOURNEY BY AIRPLANE British Official Wireless Reed. 1 p.m. RUGBY, Wed. The Prince of Wales, who is due to arrive in London about April 2S from his African tour, left Khartoum by air today for Cairo, about 1,000 miles away. Accompanying the plane in which the Prince travelled were nine others of the 47th Squadron Royal Air Force. A start was made about six o’clock this morning, and after four hours' flying, the ten machines reached Atbara. The Prince alighted at the railway station and breakfasted with the general manager of railways in a Pullman car. v He was off again in about 40 minutes and Wadilialfa, on the Nile, was reached about noon. Here his Royal Highness lunched with Mr. Jackson, Governor of the province. _ After lunch the flight was resumed to Assouan, which was reached at. 4.30 this afternoon. The Prince will stay the night there, and, continuing his journey, will arrive at Cairo soon after midday. King Fuad will meet him there. Before leaving Khartoum the Prince said he had enjoyed the rest and complete holiday in the Sudan.
