CENSOR CUTS MORE HOME FILMS THAN AMERICAN AUSTRALIAN REPORT CANBERRA, Tuesday. The annual report of Che Cojnmon"ealth Film Censorship Board reveals the fact that British films require twice as much cutting as those from America. The report attacks the talkies and says the loss of desirable characteristics of the silent pictures outweighs •'ny advantages sound may have brought. In 1029 the films imported into Australia numbered 2,932. Of these 2,322 caino from America, 343 from the United Kingdom, and 267 from other countries.
