SUBURBAN THEATRES
“The Broadway Melody,” the famous singing and dancing attraction which has delighted thousands with its tuneful songs and dancing ensembles in colour, is now at the Tivoli Theatre for a short return season. Bessie Love, Afiita Page and Charles King are "the stars. The Rialto Theatre. Newmarket, is screening “Mother Knows Best,” a story of back-stage life, starring Madge Bellamy, .and “Silver Valley,” a Western tale, starring Tom Mix. The Britannia Theatre, Three Lamps, is presenting “The Drake Case,” a talkie mystery thriller with a tense courtroom scene and starring Gladys Brockwell. The Regent Theatre, Epsom, is showing “Huntingtower,” the famous adventure story by John Buchan, with Sir Harry Lauder in the chief role, and “Stairs of Sand,” a Zane Grey story starring Wallace Beery.
