100,000 MEN IDLE
TEXTILE WAGES DISPUTE FORCES CRISIS £250,000 WEEKLY WAGES LOST LONDON, Monday. The wages dispute in the wool textile industry has reached a crisis, 100,000 operatives having ceased work. It Is estimated that 70 per cent, of the industry is at a standstill and that the employees now idle will lose £250,000 a week in wages.
