COLLISION VICTIM DIES
HEAD-ON MOTOR-CYCLE SMASH Air. Allan Wilkin, who received grave injuries in a motor-cycle collision on the evening of Alarch 2S, died at the Auckland Hospital last evening. The accident, which occurred on a bend of the Great South Road near the Hume Pipe Company’s premises, resulted in four persons being injured. A motor-cycle, ridden by Mr. Herbert Crewther, of Otahuhu, collided head-on with Mr. Wilkin’s cycle. Both cycles carried passengers. Air. Wilkin, who was 21 years of age, was admitted to the hospital suffering from a fracture of the skull and a compound fracture of the thigh. He was a single man, residing at Papakura.
