BIRTHDAY PARTY
JOLLY EVENING AT MOUNT ALBERT A pleasant evening was spent on Saturday at the home of Air. and Airs. Bethel, of 4 Jersey Avenue, Aloi|it Albert, by the guests of Air. Tom Sampson, of Devonport, who gave a birthday evening to his fiancee, Aliss Winnie Aiahon, of Dargaville. The sitting-room, where dancing and games were held, was decorated with red and gold streamers, balloons and novelties, and pink and mauve was the colour scheme chosen for the supper room. Aliss Aiahon received a beautiful bouquet of dahlias and zinnias. Airs. Bethel, who acted as hostess, received the guests wearing a frock of white georgette. Aliss Winnie Aiahon was gowned in black velvet relieved with diamente girdle. Among those present were:—Aliss Rita McNamara, in ankle-length frock of blue taffeta; Aliss Myra Bowerland, radium lace with pointed skirt; Miss Gladys Aiahon, emerald green taffeta trimmed with silver lace; Ariss Elsie McVeagh, green satin; Aliss Leila Scanlan, blue satin; Aliss Vera Ford, lemon georgette; Aliss Alary Evans, rose velvet; Mrs. Riehardson, blue georgette; Aliss Eileen Plowman, sequined mauve georgette,
