MOTOR-CYCLIST HURT
i ACCIDENT AT PONSONBY t A collision with a taxi-cab at the e intersection of Mackelvie Street and s Ponsonby Road at about 5.30 on l* Saturday afternoon resulted in a _• motor-cyclist, Mr. Ronald James White, of Ponsonby Terrace, Ponsonbv, receiving a fracture of the skull “and a fractured wrist. He was picked up in an unconscious condition and removed to the hospital by the St. John Ambulance. His condition this morning is regarded as fairly serious, i Alt'. White was proceeding along Ponsonby Road and the taxi was cross- , in g the intersection at Mackelvie - Street when the accident occurred. ■ His machine struck the rear of the taxi * and ho was thrown heavily to the ground.
