£SOO DAMAGES CLAIMED Press Association TV ELLINGTON, Today. The Waiwetu Golf Club yesterday claimed £SOO damages from the Wellington Trotting Club for interference with its golf course and failure to reinstate it after alterations had been made by the trotting club in ploughing up portions of the links. The defence was a general denial and a statement that plaintiff had failed to comply with repeated requests to state its requirements. Mr. Justice Blair suggested it was a case for agreement and after an adjournment it was settled hy_ defendant agreeing to carry out the necessary reinstatement an d pa y £75.
