MOTOR-CYCLE TO ROLE
AIRMAN WILL FLY PART WAY THEN DRAG SLEDGES Reed. 10.15 a.m. OSLO, Friday. THE airman, Major Gran, who was a member of Captain Scott's 1910 expedition. is planning an attempt to reach the South Pole by motor-cycle. Accompanied by three companions, he proposes to fly from Granite Bay in the Ross Sea, to the Plateau, ar.d thence go by motorcycles, each towing a sledge carrying provisions.
