MAWSON’S PARTY COSTS NEARLY £19,000 AUSTRALIA PAYS £2,-251 Reed. 12.40 p.m. CANBERRA, Today. In the Commonwealth House of Representatives, the Prime Minister, Mr. J. IT. Scullin, said the cost of Sir Douglas Mawson's Antarctic expedition in the Discovery was almost £19,000. The future of the expedition was under consideration. Australia’s share of the costs amounts to £2,251. The ship Discovery will probably go South again in October or November.
