LIQUOR POLL OF STATES IN AMERICA ONE FAVOURS PROHIBITION NEW YORK, Wednesday. A poll on the liquor question has been taken by the “Literary Digest.” The votes totalled 2,516,072. They were cast as follow: For prohibition enforcement 712,549 For modification of law .. 754,260 For repeal of prohibition . . 1,049,257 Of the 44 States which reported polls Kansas was the only one where the advocates of prohibition were in a majority.
