NOT HITTING IT!

According to the annual report of the Xew Zealand Soccer Referees’ Association that body is not hitting it with the Xew Zealand Football Association. Recently the referees deputationised thA Xew Zealand Association asking that more latitude be given the Xew Zealand Referees’ Association when rulings are required in connection with the laws of the game. The referees wish to give the rulings and ask that the council should recognise them without criticism or further consideration. They also ask that the referee?, should be allowed to make important appointments without having to submit them to the Council of the Xew Zealand Association. Finally the referees ask that they shall be represented on the council, as is done In another code. It is probable that the requests will come up for considers - j tion at the annual meeting of the ; Xew Zealand Association, which is to : take place in Wellington on Monday j evening.
