GIRL RIDER INJURED
THROWN BY STUMBLING HORSE Press Association NAPIER. Thursday. Severe head injuries were suffered by Shiela Cuthbert, aged 12 years, the daughter of Mr. W. Cuthbert. of Waipukurau, as the result of being thrown from a horse this afternoon. The girl was riding the horse across a footpath to enter a gate when the animal stumbled and threw her head first to the pavement. She was taken to the Waipukurau Hospital, and is reported to be in a serious condition. J
