MANY FINE BLOOMS
Fine entries were received for the chrysanthemum and dahlia show organised by the Ellerslie Presbyterians and held in tnc jubilee Road Hall this afternoon.
The show which was opened by Mr. W. S. Jordan was a testimony to the ability of the district to produce beautiful blooms and to the work of Mr. W. A. Dale, who arranged the exhibition. Results:
Chrysanthemum Open Section.— Champion of Show, “Stephen Brown,” grown by E. Sim. Class 1: W. A. Cowan. 1; A. Garside, 2; Mrs. Empen, 3. Class 2: A. Garside, 1; VV. A. Cowan, 2; Mrs. Empen, 3. Dahlias.—Champion of the Show, “Grace Curling,” grown by W. A. Dale. Class 19: W. A. Dale, 1; R. Wright, 2; B. T. Andrews, 3.
