KIRK-WINDEYER GOLF CUP
MATCH AT SHIRLEY LINKS Press Associaton CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. Although the Kirk-Windeyer Cup matches were definitely allocated to the Christchurch Club’s links at Shirley this year, it was not until Dr. Sydney Jones and Mr. Alex. Russell, captains of the Xew South Wales and Victorian teams, had played over the course today, that it was definitely decided that the matches should be played here. There has been a prolonged dry spell and the links are dry ip consequence, but otherwise they are in excellent order. Messrs. Jones and Russell said they were satisfied with the course, and the matches will begin on Monday. The order of play will be —Monday and Tuesday: Victoria v. Xew Zealand. Wednesday and Thursday: Winners of previous match v. Xew South Wales.
