CHARGE OF FRAUD
SEAMAN REMANDED ON £25 BAIL Leslie Murray, a seaman, aged 44. was charged at the Police Court this morning with obtaining a tin of benzine and three packets of cigarettes valued at 10s from Raymond Victor Hieatt on March 14, by falsely representing that his name was Wilson, that he lived at 17 Richmond Road and that he was the owner of car Xo. 160121. Murray pleaded not guilty and was remanded until Saturday. •‘Murray was arrested only this morning.” saicl Detective-Sergeant' Kelly. "We have not yet had a chare ■ to go into the case. Accused is a hard man to get hold of. He is young and has no fixed place of abode. Bail was fixed in one surety of £25.
