FEWER TICKETS
DECREASE IN RAILWAY PASSENGER TRAFFIC AUCKLAND FIGURES DROP A 10 per cent, decrease in ticket sales at the Auckland railway station and the three booking offices in the City is shown for the financial year 19120-30, as compared with the previous year's figures. The following are the figures in detail:-*—
The Karangahape Road booking office was open during 47 weeks of the 3* ear, since May 6, 1929. The other two offices were opened for business in 1928. The returns take no account of sales made at the Mount Eden station, which is the terminus of a large suburban traffic.
