CHARMING AFTERNOON WEDDING EVANS—LUSBY The Methodist Church, Papatoetoe, was the scene of a pretty wedding this afternoon, when Ruby Frances, the third oaughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Lu&by, of Landscape Road. Papatoetoe, was married to Joseph Arthur, youngest son of Mr. and Wrs. J. Evans, of Manurewa. The church had been prettily decorated by friends of the brrae with golden zinnias and cactus dahlias. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a pretty gown of ivory george /_e. finished with silver lace, and sprays of tiny rosebuds. Her veil was •arranged to form a train, held in place with clusters of orange blossom and finished with a silver ribbon bow An exquisite shower bouquet of pale tinted chrysanthemums was carried. The bride was attended by two dainty maids, Aliss Gladys Evans, sister of the groom, who wore shell pink frilled andulla silk, with pretty picture hat finished with streamers of ribbon velvet, and Aliss Hilda Hughes, cousin of the bride, who was frocked in apple green satin carreau, with large crinoline hat. finished with posy and streamers. Each carried a bouquet to harmonise with their frock. The Rev. A. W. Silvester performed the marriage ceremony, while Air. H. Lusbv and Air. C. Firth attended the groom. Airs. C. Firth played the wedding march. Later a reception was held at the Alethodist Hall, where many friends were entertained. Airs. Lusbv wore a smart frock of navy silk repp, with relief of fuschia. % Airs. Evans was wearing an ensemble of black silk romaine, with small hat to match. The going-away frock of the bride was of wine-shaded crepe de chine, worn under a brown fur-trimmed velour coat, with chic felt hat. Among the guests were Airs. Hughes. Te Aroha; Airs.
