The city coroner found that the shooting of John Prendergast on March 27 was justifiable. Mrs. Barry, who had been charged with murder, was discharged. Prendergast, aged 23. was found Dying in the yard of a shop at Surry Hills which was being raided. The man succumbed an hour later in hospital from the effects of a bullet wound m the body. Mrs. Kathleen Barry, owner of the shop, was arrested and charged with murder, and three men were captured by the police and charged with breaking and entering.
