MEMBERS’ AT HOME

ENJOYABLE CROQUET TOURNAMENT AT WAITEMATA CLUB The members of the "Waitemata Croquet Club held a very enjoyable At Home on the club lawns on Monday afternoon. A. large number of visitors accepted the invitation to be present, and participated in the progressive tournaments. Refreshments -were provided m the pavilion by the members. The tournament results were as follow: — A section: Mrs. C. J. Green and Mrs. L. D. Rowbottom. tied; in the play-off Mrs. C. J. Green won. B section: Mrs. T. H. Hurley and Mrs. C. Ross, tied; in the play-off Mrs. T. H. Hurley won. The hidden treasure prize was won by Mrs. A. Parrish. At the conclusion of the function, Mrs. C. Rose, president of the club, presented the successful competitors with, their trophies. The visitors included:—The Mayoress of Northcote, Mrs. A. E. Greenslade; Mesdames G. H. Lyons, J. Fearnley, A. Parrish, W. Forsyth, M. Laurie, L. D. Rowbottom, T>. Cardale, C. Ross, E. Pavne C. J. Green, E. J. Treeweller. F. Wakefield. H. McGregor, W. A. Somervell, H. Oxley. Among the members present were:— Mrs. C. Rose (president), Mesdames J. Potter, J. R. Bethwaite, T. H. Hurley, J. Hubble, J. S. Lockie, A. .T. Grant, R. Daniels, E. O. Bailey, J. R. McPhail, J. M. Somerfield and Miss M. Shepherd.
