APPLES UNCHANGED ORANGES REMAIN SCARCE ' In the sales of apples in the City Markets today, no important | change took place in the prices. ; The better lines commanded good sales. Oranges are scarce and dear. Bananas were cheaper today than they were yesterday owing to the arrival of a few lots through Wellington. Lemons are in short supply. Colt , Packham's Triumph and cooking pears are mostly,selling on a dull market. Te Kauwhata outdoor grapes are selling freely at ruling rates. .Improvements have been made in the values for tomatoes, which are now not so plentiful. The vegetable market is heavily stocked with cabbages, onions, kumaras and lettuces. All vegetables in season are amply supplied.
