SIR ISAAC ICAACS’S NAME MENTIONED NEWSPAPER’S SPECULATION SYDNEY, Sunday. The “Sunday Times” says it is authoritatively informed that the successor as Governor-General of Australia to Lord Stonehaven is to be Sir Isaac Isaacs, who recently was appointed Chief Justice of the High Court. The newspaper says it has long been an open secret that the Prime Miniser, Mr. J. H. Scullin, and his Government are anxious that the new Governor-General should be an Australian. Accordingly the Government has recommended Sir Isaac to the British Government.
