REV. A. MITCHELL RETIRES
VALEDICTORY SERVICES The Rev. A. Mitchell, who has retired from the ministry of St. John’s Methodist Church, ronsonby, preached farewell sermons yesterday after 40 years’ service. In the morning he spoke on “Interruptions,” his address having reference to the necessity for liis premature retirement through ill-health. Mr. Mitchell addressed a large congregation in the evening on “Terminals.” Miss Eileen Frost and Mr. F. Sutherland sang solos and the choir sang “Gloria” and “How Lovely Are the Messengers.” A farewell social will be given to Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell and the Rev. N. P. Larsen on Thursday evening in St. John’s schoolroom.
