MINISTRY OF YOUTH

SERVICE IS CONDUCTED BY YOUNG MEN INNOVATION AT ST. DAVID’S The service at St. David's Presbyterian Church last evening was conducted entirely by young men of the Presbyterian Bible Classes. Leaders of classes read the lessons and members replaced the church choir. Mr. J. W. Hyland, a president of the Presbyterian Bible Class Union District Committee, was the preacher. He said that young people appreciated the opportunity of taking such an active part in Church life, and he emphasised the importance of the youth movement. The union comprised over 10,000 members. Criticism was often levelled at modern youth, but although science and education had wrought many changes, human nature had not altered.

The preacher traced tire life of Christ, Who at the time of His death had been comparatively young and Whose influence was for all time. He urged the congregation to “Remember thy Creator in the days of thy youth.” Present youth would he the future leaders, and it was for them to follow the precepts of Christ.
