VIKOTA’S OJP SUCCESS LEO BERKETT HAS GOOD DAY ' Special to THE SUN The Nelson trainer-driver Leo Berkett, had a field day at the Marlborough Trotting Club’s fixture, when he captured four events. The Cup provided a good contest, the notable feature being the defeat of the favourite, Liglitwood. Vikota, who was at a fine price, won well, registering 4.38 ’3-5 from a 4.46 mark. Dan Roco landed a double, and Greythorp© was successful in the saddle heat. Ockley Wood, who raced consistently at Ashhurst and Hastings, captured the mile and a-half trot, while the two mile square-gaited event was won by Balayah, driven by the veteran, M. Maher. The weather was fine and the attendance good, while the track was hard. This was the first meeting held by the club separate from the Racing Club fixture.
