AUCKLAND’S AIR PAGEANT

DONATION OF TROPHY Auckland’s air pageant, to be staged next Saturday at the Mangere airdrome, continues to attract entries of some of the Dominion’s crack pilots, and there is every indication of the carnival being the largest and best attended of any previously staged in the Dominion. There are donations, the latest to hand being an electric 8-valve radio set, presented by Lewis R. Eady, Ltd. It is intended to give this trophy, which is valued at £45, for the height estimating competition. On the following day of the pageant an aerial picnic is to be held, when at least 17 machines will leave on a oneday jaunt to Russell.
