ANNUAL RAILWAY RETURNS FOR AUCKLAND GOODS REVENUE INCREASES The annual returns of the Railway Department for the Auckland district disclose an increase in the revenue 1 front goods traffic but a decrease in passenger revenue. A return of £99.576 was received from the parcels business, as compared with £90,724 the previous -year. Revenue from passengers was cenel’a red with £592.420, a decrease oi £43,529. Miscellaneous revenue amounted to £ 35.453, compared witu £50,510 in 1925-29. a decrease ot £15,027. . A substantial increase in the number of livestock carried was shown.
