SPEEDWAYS CO. FINED
OPERATING WITHOUT LICENCE From Our Own Correspondent DUNEDIN, Today. Charged with operating without a licence, Dunedin Speedways, Limited, was lined £ 5 and costs in the Dunedin Police Court yesterday. Counsel for the City Council, who prosecuted, said that the company’s licence had been withheld as no proper sanitary conveniences had been installed on the ground. However, the company had held meetings without a licence. Counsel added that a drainage scheme had been submitted to the council, which was prepared to accept it with certain modifications.
