N.Z. CROQUET BUTTONS

MRS. COLE THE WINNER The final of the New Zealand Croquet Council’s buttons competition, which ■was played at the Mount Eden Club’s lawns yesterday resulted in a win for Mrs. Cole, who defeated Mrs. Parker - Hill and won the A grade. At the conclusion of play Mrs. Hamilton, vice-president, in the absence of Mrs. Schnauer, president, presented the buttons and also the shields. The shields were won as follow: —AA grade, Mount Hobson; A grade, Onehunga; B grade, Mount Albert. The B grade button was won by Miss Baker and that for the C grade by Mrs. McCowan.
