UNIVERSAL FURNISHINGS
STORED IN HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS A universal assortment of interior furnishings, of sufficient variety to provide authentic decoration for any conceivable ancient, modern, European or local setting, may be found in the vast storage sheds of the motion picture studios in Hollywood. Each type of furnishing is stored in a separate section marked American, English, German, Swiss, Turkish, or Afghanistan, and so on. During the filming of “Slightly Scarlet,” an all-talking adventure romance, co-starring Evelyn Brent and Clive Brook, heavy inroads were made on the stock of the French section. Two fashionable Parisian apartments and a beautiful country villa were furnished i completely from the modish stock on i hand there, and several settings depict- : ing peasant homes took considerable i of the remaining modern furniture.
