BIRKENHEAD BAND

The Birkeanhead Borough Band held its monthly committee meeting in the council chambers last evening, the chairman, Mr. G. Huddleston, presiding. The treasurer reported that the takings of the recent band fair amounted to £74 18s 6d. To raise funds during the winter months, a series of dances will be held, and Sunday evenign concerts, with vocal items, in the Foresters’ Hall. Arrangements are well in hand for the band’s visit to Rotorua at Easter.
