A SUNNY MARCH
LAST MONTH S WEATHER “An exceptional dry, fine, month, the rainfall being the lowest recorded for March, and 2.85 inches below the average. Bright sunshine was considerably above the average and constituted a record for the month. Winds were variable, and mainly light.” These remarks were made by Mr. H. M. Vincent, Government meteorologist at Auckland, concerning last month’s weather. The highest barometer reading wai 30.431 inches, recorded on Sunday last, and the average reading for March was 30.164 inches. The lowest i prmo* meter reading was 50 degrees Fahrenheit, on March 28, and the highest was 75 degrees. The maximum temperature in the sun was 145 degrees, on March 24. A total of 257 hours 55 minutes of bright sunshine was experienced during the month, there being sunshine every day. There were only three days of rain, and the total fall was .24 inches.
