ONCE TOO OFTEN
CIRCUS BALANCER KILLED IN STUNT TURN BROTHER STRIVES TO SAVE HIM NEW YORK, Sunday. Hans Jahn, aged 35, a German performer, was killed iu a circus today. He lost his balance and fell from the top of a 40ft pole held on the shoulder of his brother Karl. Seeing his brother commence to fall Karl leaped forward and threw himself to the ground to act as a cushion for Hans to fall upon. However. Hans's back was broken and he died instantly.
