JOLLY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION At the Mount Eden Tea Kiosk, on Saturday, a delightful birthday party was given in honour of the 21st birthday of Mr. E. Vernon Hargreaves, by Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hargreaves, of 71 Buckland Road, Epsom. The room was prettily decorated in pink and mauve and the tables with pink belladonna lilies. Mrs. Hargreaves received her guests wearing a frock of mauve georgette with bridge coat of old rose panne velvet trimmed with fur. Among those present were: Mrs. James, in pink crepe de chine; Mrs. Miller, black lace: Miss Cooksey, rose beige crepe de chine and lace; Miss G. Cooksey, orange taffeta; Mrs. Houghton, electrie blue crepe de chine: Miss F. Wilson, lemon brocade; Miss Houghton, lupin blue georgette with uneven hemline; Miss T. Houghton, black chiffon; Mrs. R. Watkins*, lemon georgette: Miss Shaw, pink georgette with lace; Miss P. Shaw, black georgette with silver tissue; Miss B. Hempill, orange lace with uneven hem; Miss N. Gallaher. apricot georgette; Miss Challis, pink chiffon and silk net. Miss B. Challis, wearing red embossed velvet; Miss P. Jones, green chenille and georgette; Miss Duncan, sky blue chiffon; Miss M. Duncan, floral georgette; Miss E. Duncan, turquoise blue taffeta; Miss Orbell, embossed pink chenille: Miss X. Orbell, green taffeta; Miss M. Von Sturmer, tangerine taffeta; Miss L. Gallaher, black panne velvet and georgette; Miss Perkins, blue crepe de chine. Miss Li. Perkins, in black taffeta; Miss M. Perkins, cream lace; Miss Sellar, floral taffeta: Miss N. Sellar, red georgette, uneven hem; Miss Girdler, black lace and georgette: Miss Thompson, sunkist lace; Miss Forrance, embossed green moire; Miss 'R. Wiseman, pink net over cyclamen crepe de chine; Miss C. Johnstone, green frilled net and taffeta; Miss Irving, green net and silver lace.
