FEILDING’S JUBILEE

SPLENDID LIST OF ENTRIES SEVERAL AUCKLAND HORSES A number of horses trained in the Auckland Province have been entered for the jubilee meeting of the Feilding Jockey Club on Easter Saturday and Monday. Ten in all have been accorded a nomination at the Southern fixture, so that more than the customary interest in this popular gathering will be manifested up this way*. It was announced some time ago that Paganelli’s future racing would be confined to set-weight events. This programme has been followed out to the letter, but the results must have been disappointing to the Te Rapa trainer, M. J. Carroll, and the Taranaki owners, Messrs. Crawford and Roberts. No doubt this has encouraged the stable to review the situation, and perhaps the fact that Paganelli has been entered for the two big handicaps at Feilding is the outcome. Maori Boy is another northerner engaged in the same two races. They should prove to be worthy representatives of the north. Plenty of Hacks Auckland hacks are many, among those nominated being King Peg, Royal Visitor, Ruapatu, Abbey Queen. I'm Alone, Sir Kay, Etehi Rangi, and Perennis. While all centres of the North Island are represented in the splendid entry list, it is more than likely that Taranaki horses wiW be on top in several of the events, for Feilding is a happy hunting ground for horses trained in that province. Mr. J. E. Henrys’s handicaps for the first day are due on Tuesday next.
