AMERICA’S LATEST DRINK CAUSES PARALYSIS CONTAINS SHEEP DIP United J P.A. —By Telegraph — Copyright WASHINGTON, Saturday. The Commissioner of Prohibition, Dr. J. M. Doran, has reported that an analysis of the liquor which caused numerous cases of paralysis in Oklahoma and elsewhere three weeks ago shows that it contained alcohol ginger, an extract from crude carbolic acid and creosote. It caused a tremendous shock and paralysis in the legs and a feeling of utter depression and melancholy. Dr. Doran said the disinfectants used in the new drink were contained in ordinary sheep dip and could be obtained at a low cost.
