MR. WILLIAM WILKINSON The death has occurred in Dunedin of Mr. William Wilkinson, aged 87, for 21 years Government nominee on the Harbour Board. He was a Justice af the Peace and a Provincial Oddfellov. —P.A. MRS. J. H. REVITT One of Auckland's most prominent professional singers for many year?. Mrs. John Holman Revitt, has died at Wellington at the age of BS. Coming to New Zealand in 1878, she settled in Auckland and followed her profession until ill health compelled her to retire. She then moved to Wellington, where she was residing at tl.d time of her death. Mrs. Revitt is survived bv fiva daughters, Mrs. C. A. Marris, of "Wellington, Mrs. D. Oardale. of Auckland, Mrs. J. S. Johnson and Mrs. K. Baine, of Wellington, and Mrs. W. Patrick, of England. There are 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. MR. DANIEL DAILY HAYES A well-known and highly resperted citizen, Mr. Daniel Daily Hayes, lied at. Waiuku last Friday evening, at the age of 82 years. Before settling ia Wa.uku, about 21 years ago. Mr. Hayes was well known in the Whnngaroa district, where he carried out work as a bush contractor. Fpr some Y■ears he was a member of the Mangonui County Council. Since taking up farming at Whirl Whirl, near Waiuku, Mr. Hayes continued to take a keen interest in local lDOlitics. and after retiring from active farming he served a term of years as a member of the Waiuku Town Board. Mr. Hayes was also a. very keen Odc.fellow for about 45 years, and one of the founders o* the Kaeo Lodge. He was a regular attenckr ol the Star of Waiuku Lodge un t:l about three years ago. when he vas troubled with ill-health. Mr. Hayes is survived by his wif® and three sons and eight daughter-*, these being Mr. Daniel Hayes, Mr. G. A. Hayes, Mr. A. E. Hayes. Mesdari&» G. J Tear, T. McNamara, W. G. Smith. C. Tubbs, F. Upton, T. Wardlow, T. i Williams and J. Shaw. The funeral took place at tr.e Waiuku Cemetery on Sunday, in tliQ j presence of a large gathering. | service being taken by the Rev. W S* Neal. a lodge service was held later.
