The Nanking Government’s plans for overcoming the rebellion of Feng YuHsiang, and Yen Hsi-shan have eventually been made known as tl result, of an agreement reached with , ,eneral Chang Hsuelh-liang, the Mukden war lord, whereby It Is reported, Nanking agrees to furnish Chang with £300,000 a month and an unlimited supply of arms and ammunition, provided the Fengtien forces undertake to attack Yen Hst-shan in the rear. Lntil now Chang’s attitude to the present conflict proved a stumbling block, as both sides were seeking Mukden’s support. Now the atmosphere is cleared and Chang has agreed to despatch three divisions against Peking, while the President Chiang Kaishek proceeds to Hsuchow to make a frontal attack.
