Lntil now Chang’s attitude to the present conflict proved a stumbling block, as both sides were seeking Mukden’s support. Now the atmosphere is cleared and Chang has agreed to despatch three divisions against Peking, while the President Chiang Kaishek proceeds to Hsuchow to make a frontal attack.
