PAPATOETOE CLUB ANNUAL MEETING Dr. A. B. Jameson, president of the Papatoetoe Hockey Club, presided over a large attendance of members at the club’s annual meeting, held in the sports pavilion on Thursday evening. The annual report disclosed a successful past season. Both of the club’s teams finished well up in the grade competitions. The financial statement, which was adopted, showed a distinct improvement. It was decided to enter two teams in tho»ensuing competitions. The election of officers resulted as follow: Patron, Mr. A. AV. IT all, M.P.J? president, Hr. A. B. Jameson; vicepresidents, Hr. J. J. Valentine, Messrs. T. R. Smytheman, J. McFarland, B. McKenzie, A. S. Grinter, F. E. Carr; j secretary and treasurer, Mr. S. Mellsop; delegate to the Auckland Hockey Association, Mr. F. Catt; sole selector, Mr. F. E. Carr; general committee, Messrs. Cliffe, H. Lusby, L. Smytheman; Grounds Committee, Messrs. Anderson and N. Burnside; club custodian, Mr. X. Morey. PIAKO ASSOCIATION From Our Own Correspondent MORRINSVILLE, Friday. The annual meeting of the Piako Hockey Association was held in Morrinsville on Thursday, Mr. J. M. Thompson presiding. The balance sheet showed that the finances were in a satisfactory state. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follow: —Patron, Mr. S. Harvey; president, Mr. J. M. Thompson; vice-presidents, Hr. AV. R. Lawrence. Revs. F. Gardner Brown and G. Weeden, Messrs. E. Snell, J. B. Steele and A. Ward; hon. secretary and treasurer, Air. E. Munn-Browne; lion, auditor, Mr. L. Osborne; delegates to Auckland Hockey Association, Messrs. L. C. Kent and R. Avery; delegate to Auckland Women's Association, Miss E. Simpson. The secretary was instructed to write to the Waipa and Rodney Associations, congratulating them on their success at the Auckland Country Week tournament last season, and to Rangitaiki, Whangnrei and Auckland Women’s Associations, whose teams were bracketed for the girls’ championship at the tournament.
