NEW BRIDGE WANTED

POSITION AT HAMILTON From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Today, A request for assistance toward the erecting of a second traffic bridge at a cost of £ 16,000 at Hamilton was place! before the Hon. E. A. Ransom, Minister of Public Works, today, by the Hamilton Borough Council and the V aikato and Waipa County Councils. The different speakers referred to the present congested traffic owing il there being only one main street ami one bridge over which 3,000 vehicles passed daily. The Minister said that he recognised the great progress the district had made and he considered facilities should bo consonant with progress. Ho thought assistance was warranted, and promised to consult the Main Highways Board to see whether this should come from the Public Works or th* Highways fund.
