CAUGHT IN MACHINERY

INJURIES RESULT IN DEATH INQUEST ON DALMATION Remarking that the machinery in which the man had been caught appeared to have been adequately guarded, the coroner, Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., returned a verdict of accidental death when an inquest was held yesterday afternoon into the death of Peter Gizdavcich, a Dalmatian. Mr. Gizdavcich, aged 47, married, died in the Auckland Hospital on March 13 from injuries received when he was caught in the machinery at the New Era Brick and Tile Company’s works at Waitakere. On arrival at the hospital, an arm and leg were amputated, The cause of his death, according to medical evidence, was severe shock.
