FORESTERS MEET
BUSINESS OF CONFERENCE The report presented at the annual meeting of the Ancient Order of Foresters, held yesterday, stated that the juvenile branch had about 500 members and that all funds in connection with this branch showed good balances. During the year a juvenile member had lost his life by drowning and his parents had been paid the fuh benefits due. The increase in membership had not been as large as it should and methods to improve the position were discussed. Support was accorded the proposal at present before the public to endow a chair of obstetrics, a donation of £2l being made toward the scheme. A committee consisting of D.C.R E*ro. S. King, D.S. Bro. Darlow and i Bros. Bartlett Knaggs, P.D.C.R., and I A. G. Osborne, P.D.C.R., was set up to i go into the question of revision of the society*’s ritual. Officers were elected as follows: D.C.R., Bro. S. King; D.S.C.R.. Bro. J. Latto; D. 5.8., Bro. G. H. Hughes: Bro. E. A. Harkins; trustees, Bros. Bartleet, Knaggs and Hoverd: superintendent of juveniles, Bro. A. G. Osborne, P.D.CR.; insurance board. Bros. Osborne and Knaggs.
