NEW STUDIO OPENED WITH DANCE PARTY
| MISS HALL ENTERTAINS PUPILS AND FRIENDS A CHEERY EVENING | Miss Cecil Hall's pupils and their | friends were entertained at a very* cheery supper dance in her new studio in the Regent Theatre Building last evening. Gold was the effective colour note chosen for the studio decorations and Miss Hall received her guests gowned in cloth, of gold and gold lace. An appliqued spray of begonia coloured velvet flowers trailed from the waisti line of the lrock to the hem. j An exhibition of the quickstep and of the 1930 waltz was given by Miss Bettina Edwards and Mr. Crawford ! Norris, and Miss Peggy Holmes, in j costume, gave a Moorish dance. These i items were greatly appreciated. AMONG THE GUESTS Edw£ irds chose prin temps S Sreen chiffon encrusted with silver beads. Miss Peggy Holmes was wearing a ; pretty frock of daffodil yellow lace. Airs. Gordon had on black ring velvet with diamente embroidered yoke. Mrs. .V. Miller’s uneven-length gown with deep decolletage was of black Chantilly lace. Miss Marjorie Brookes was in a bouffant frock of cammedia. pink taffeta. Miss Joyce Wright's frock was of burgundy red chenille spotted chiffon. Miss Joan Biss was wearing canton jade crepe de soie with unevenly pointed skirt. Miss Betty Biss had on a gros grain taffeta frock of blue and silver tones. Miss Cicely Venables wore ivory chiffon with tiny flower posies. Miss Mary Mackenzie was wearing a georgette frock in two shades of orchid, j Mrs. E. Cooper chose phlox pink ring velvet and lace. Mrs. It. Gaudin wore black lace and georgette. Airs. Bullock’s smart lace frock was of deepest peach pink. Airs. Hammer chose an uneven-length gown of canton jade georgette. Aliss Pat Aliller was wearing a bouffant frock of cornflower blue taffeta. -Aliss Gwen Kenrick’s frock was of leaf green taffeta with deep shadow hem of silver lace. Aliss Reeves was in a frock of blush rose taffeta faille. Atiss Rita MacCullay chose palest pompadour pink taffeta with hem of silver lace. Aliss Gwen Taylor’s smart gown was of unrelieved black crepe de soie. Aliss Phyllis Norie wore a flounced frock of honey-coloured satin beaute. j Aliss iS. Norie chose shell pink taffeta I embossed with silver. j Aliss A. Johnston had on a frock of I black georgette and tulle, with bouffant uneven-length skirt. I Aliss Mary Koefield was in a polka- \ dotted net gown of vivid poinsettia red. Aliss C. Venables wore peach pink lace with skirt of matching chiffon. Miss Rima Bowles was wearing phlox pink georgette. Aliss E. Newcombe had on a taffeta gown of japonica pink relieved with i ivory. , Aliss ATartinengo’s smart gown was of j black chiffon velvet.
