FIRE IN GARAGE

TWO STOREROOMS DAMAGED Fire which broke out in a twostorey motor garage at 16 Shore Road, Remuera, at about 6.50 las*evening, caused damage to two storerooms. The premises, owned by Mr. J. M. Wilson, had six rooms attached and these were used as storerooms. Workmen had been employed on the premises until five o’clock and when they left everything appeared to be in order. About two hours later smoke and flames were noticed to be issuing from the building and the alarm was given. The Remuera and Parnell brigades responded and the outbreak was quickly suppressed. The building was covered by an insurance policy in the South Britisii Office.
