HAMILTON RUGBY UNION’S ANNUAL REPORT PEACE CUP VICTORIES From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Wednesday. j A highly satisfactory year is reviewed in the report of the Hamilton Rugby Union, to be presented at the annual meeting tomorrow evening. It is stated that keen interest was ' shown in the competitions up to the j close of the season, due largely to the fact that in three of the club finals the teams in each contest were level, and in two of them extra time had to , be played to decide the issue. The union's representative team had , wrested the Peace Cup from Alorrins- • ville on August 10, and had withstood ! all challenges for the remainder of I j tho season. IMPROVED TRAINING FACILITIES. Reference is made to the efforts devoted in the off-season to improving [ accommodation at Rugby Park, made j necessary by the increasing crowds. I i-The erection of a new grandstand had i | been delayed pending the completion of | a 21-years’ lease with the Domain j Board. New training rooms near the ; park would be shortly erected in order s to reduce tho excessive training costs ! to clubs.
