FRANCHISE FOR WOMEN
HOT OPPOSITION TO SOUTH AFRICAN BILL SECOND READING PASSED Reed. 9.30 a.m. CAPETOWN, Tuesday. The Women’s Franchise Bill was read a second time in the House of Assembly by 73 votes to 31. It proposes to grant the franchise to ail European adult women in Sotith Africa. The measure is likely to encounter strong opposition in committee.
