■ CLOSE TO WOMEN'S INSTITUTE'S CONFERENCE DELEGATES SPEND ENJOYABLE TIME The conference which was held yesterday by the Auckland Province Federated Women’s Institute was brought to a close last evening, when a social was held in the Victoria League's rooms. Autumn flowers and fern in bowls made a pretty decoration. j The president, Mrs. Dudley Dorman. 1 presided over a largre .gathering:. A programme of musical and elocutionary items was given by Madam Morris, pianoforte solo: Mrs. Kersey, song: Miss Murray, violincello solo, and Mrs. Tate, recitation. The president of the Victoria League, Miss Mowbray, who was a guest of the federation, was the recipient of a bouquet in the institute colours, from Mrs. Dorman, who wished to express to the league the warm appreciation of their donation of £ 5 to their work and also to thank the league for the use of its rooms for the evening. Miss Lewis, who has just returned from a visit to England, Miss Alice Hasten and Mrs. Behague, ex-presi-dents of the Federated Institutes, were also guests of the federation. Supper brought to a close a very happy evening.
