FORESTERS MEET

PROVINCIAL DELEGATES ATTEND The Ancient Order of Foresters commenced the annual meeting in the Foresters’ Buildings, Albert Street, this morning, 50 delegates being present, representing 34 courts, spread over the whole of the Auckland Province. Bro. A. G. Osborne presided. The Chief Ranger in his address asked members to canvass for new members and so increase tho numerical strength of the order, and stated the advantage of appointing an organiser and canvasser to further this ideal. He also spoke of the great aid that can bo expected from the juvenile movement and complimented all courts on the great improvement shown in the rendering of the ritual work of the society. The auditor’s report was very favourable, showing that finance was very satisfactory. The insurance fund was in a sound position and a valuable bonus had been declared on premiums. During the year a grant- of £SO was made by the society to the Earthquake Fund.
